Hello Everyone. Well, we have been very busy the past two months and have worked hard to develop our ever expanding menu. Thank you so much for your kind reviews and helpful feedback. We are going to have a day off at the cafe tomorrow so as to catch up in the shop and regroup. We will be back in the kitchen on Tuesday bright and early with pancakes all day for "Pancake Tuesday" also known as "Fat Tuesday" or "Madi Gras". Catering for both the gluten free and vegan patrons. For all of you who have been waiting so patiently for us to open. The day has arrived. We had a soft opening yesterday and will be serving lots of good coffee and cakes until Christmas. All our food is organic and gluten free. We also carry a lot of raw vegan options. Please come in and say hello,meet our staff, have a look at our cafe and sit and relax while trying our coffee and cakes. Open every day now till Christmas 8am to 4pm. You know where we are. ** TOP GLOBAL VEGAN NEWS STORY OF THE DAY ** Market research finds that Americans are increasingly interested in vegetables and grains. "Market Research Company Mintel recently surveyed Americans on their food choices and found people increasingly want more vegetarian, healthy, and international options. Nearly half of Americans consider themselves foodies and two-thirds of those foodies are millennials who fall in the 25–34 year-old age range. “With health being a focal point for many consumers when dining out, ancient grains and vegetable-based options are growing more popular,” Caleb Bryant, Foodservice Analyst at Mintel, said. “Rising interest in vegetables is especially promising for restaurants, as the price of beef has been increasingly volatile in recent years while fresh vegetable prices have dropped in the last year.” The study also showed that people want to see more ancient grains such as teff, amaranth, and farro on menus".
